HumanTouch Awarded Cloud Data Service Contract for the Army National Guard in the Northwest

McLean, VA. October 25, 2018 - HumanTouch, LLC, announced today a one and two-year contract with a division of the Army’s National Guard. It was awarded under the Army’s Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) vehicle of which HumanTouch is a primary recipient. ACCENT is the Army’s preferred contract system to procure cloud computing, transition support and application modernization services.

Army enterprise capabilities are required to move to a Department of Defense-approved hosting environment. The Army National Guard has identified the requirement of backing up data to the Cloud for offsite storage and disaster recovery services. The solution will backup 100TB of data from three different locations to the Azure DoD, no longer needing to maintain local software and hardware for consistent backups. The government expects to see significant cost savings by moving its backup to the Azure DoD cloud.

The Azure DoD cloud maintains separate data centers in different geographic locations enabling fault tolerance from system or site failures. Microsoft Azure’s DoD cloud maintains a provisional authority at Impact Level 5.
